The primary mark is the full heraldic crest: the shield carrying the „B", the acanthus mantling and the hare — set beside the wordmark with its descriptor. The mantling and the „Lake Lucerne" line hold the greige; shield and lettering hold the dark. Positive on creme for daylight communication, negative on deep grounds after dark. The mark is never redrawn, stretched, recoloured or ornamented.

Negative on dark #1D1D1FKeep a margin equal to the height of the shield free around the lockup. Nothing enters this zone — no copy, imagery edges or other marks.
Full crest: 38 mm print / 200 px screen — below that the mantling closes up. Switch to the simplified shield lockup, legible down to 9 mm / 24 px (favicon).
Never set the lockup in gold, add shadows or glows, place it over busy image areas, or pair it with typefaces outside this system.
The simplified mark. For small formats, favicons, embossing and single-colour print the crest reduces to the shield lockup — the current everyday mark of the resort. Both forms are reproduced from original artwork only, never redrawn.
The core palette is quiet: warm cremes carry the layouts, near-black anchors the typography, greige is the only ornament, and the lake lends a single cool accent. Tokens verified against the production styles of burgenstockresort.com.
When the resort turns to evening — wood-fired dining, the cinema, New Year above the clouds — the palette deepens: near-black ink grounds and a warm candlelight gold reserved for moments of celebration. The capsule never replaces the core palette; it extends it after dark. Used across the 153 Years film, the Oak Grill campaign and the gala suite.
